Zalando Running 2025

DACH campaign for Zalando running

Get more from running
Zalando

While most running brands highlight all that you have to give the sport, we flipped the narrative and celebrated everything that running gives back. Our campaign pushed running culture into a more human, expressive space, and helped Zalando establish themselves as the go-to destination for the best gear and latest styles.

This was Zalando’s most successful running campaign to date and was talked about everywhere from Sports Illustrated to Runners’ Digest.

Here is 6 months of work, condensed into a 60” case study.

We shot three 15” films, each one focused on a different runner and what running gave them.
We also created a hero 45” edit, as well as many other formats for OLV and social.

We also created 22 unique OOH executions, featuring our 7 runners.

For social, we gave our 6 runners carte blanche to create 3 pieces of content about what running brings to them,
their experience around the Marathon, as well as inviting their followers to join in our Strava challenges
or Head to the Zalando Run Hub. Here are just a few posts they made.

We also developed the whole Cheer Zone concept, from the events to the giveaways.

We collaborated with a barista to create a special post-run coffee iced coffee, made to fuel recovery.
The drink was handed out on marathon day, as well as after park run events in Berlin in the lead up to the race.
Finishers all got an apple with a playful message printed on it, which became the talk of the town.

Our BTS director, Laura Vifer, created this beautiful edit.
