The Merry Minion
Cossette Vancouver

Instead of spending our budget on Christmas cards, we used it to help our clients, partners and suppliers spread a bit of holiday cheer. So we created the Merry Minion, a real-life festive helper people could send around Vancouver to do good deeds on their behalf. This was six months before Leo Burnett’s David on Demand at Cannes, and long before social media livestreams made this kind of thing normal.

The campaign won an Applied Arts award, a Lotus Awards Gold and Merit, and a Digital Marketing Award Bronze.

First, clients and partners could request a good deed to be done on their behalf.
And over the course of 3 days, our Merry Minion accomplished a total of 126 good deeds.

Our Merry Minion did everything from giving flowers, to tying people’s skates,
to paying parking meters, to working in a charity kitchen packing food.
